Today we proudly announce the release of Bitcore Core 0.15.0.2 for Windows, Linux and OSX.
You can download it on the official LIMXTEC github: https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitCore/releases
One of many cool new features is a new chainstate database, reducing loading time and actual size of the blockchain! We are currently below 300 MB!
On top of that we made a complete design overhaul, Bitcore Core now looks like it should!
Important: Before updating, always make sure to backup your wallet.dat and private keys!
On the first startup, it may take up to a few minutes for the blockchain update to take finish. From then on loading your wallet will be even faster than with the previous Core 0.14.
I have a hardware wallet, which is not working now as its old version and i am going to update with new one, but where can i find my private key?
Waiting for your answer.
Please get in touch with your hardware-wallet manufacturer. Real hardware wallets do not give direct access to private keys. There are however solutions to claim BTX via Electrum.
You can check out this temporary guide to claim with Trezor and Ledger: https://bitcore.cc/guides/claim-hw.php
Use at your own risk and make sure to backup your BTC funds to a new address before claiming BTX!
This version is not compatible with the newest macOS. Maybe add this information in the post?
Thank you. We are working on a solution.

The new Mac wallet for Core 0.15 is currently being redone. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
The link on your website to download Mac binary is broken. In fact, I can’t find the 0.15 binary anywhere on GitHub: https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitCore/releases/download/0.15.0.2/3.OSX_BitCore-Qt.dmg
THank you for noticing. The mac wallet is currently under construction. We upadated the links accordingly and will give a news notice once it is done.
I am using btx 0.14.0.2 wallets and airdrops. New wallet Do I need to install kernel 0.15.0.2? Would it be a problem to stay in the old wallet?
My BTX is standing in my old wallet and the airdrop comes in every week.
0.15.0.2 I need to load my wallet Can I continue using my wallet?
You can continue using the old wallet.
In the long run we advise to update to the new version. However always make sure to backup your private keys and wallet.dat before updating.
When trying to load Windows QT wallet I get the following error message.
1 Persist File::Save Failed
0x80070002
The system cannot find the file path
I’ve turned off all windows defender crap and Norton.
The only way to stop this error is not to create a desktop shortcut.
Only thing is I cant run the program as it doesn’t show anywhere except in the roaming folder (blocks, chainstate, conf) and there are no commands (exe).
Any ideas to get my wallet up and running?
Hello Davo,
Were you able to get the wallet running using our latest version from the download section (ecosystem)?
If the problem still exists, please write us via email.
Best regards,
David, team Bitcore
from today I have problems accessing my wallet, it informs me that it has the following infection: macOS: bitcoinminer-BI (PUP), try to install it again from github and report the same virus, I appreciate your help since I do not have private keys of my wallet and I do not want to lose my funds, the other inconvenience is that the system of my computer informs me that the file is damaged or incomplete.
I hope you inform me what to do and thank you for your help.
